It wasn’t until I was 42 years old that I gave my life to Christ. Over the years, God placed several people in my path to speak into me, but it wasn’t until my 9-year-old son made the courageous decision to follow Christ that my heart was forever changed. Seeing his unwavering faith and the way he wholeheartedly pursued his walk with Jesus was the turning point in my own journey.
For anyone who doubts that God can use a child to transform a family, I am living proof that He can. My son’s faith led me to Christ, and for that, I will always be grateful. His obedience to God’s calling not only shaped his life but forever altered mine.
I stand here today, knowing that after 42 years, God never gave up on me. His love was greater than my mistakes, greater than my doubts, and greater than the years I spent running from Him. Because of His unending grace, I will spend the rest of my life serving Him—loving others as He first loved me and ensuring that every child knows they, too, can be a light in their family, their community, and the world.
